Safeguarding at St Paul's

St Paul’s Church aims to put the care and protection of everyone at the centre of everything we do.

Our PCC (Church Council) has adopted the national safeguarding policy of the Church of England ‘Promoting a Safer Church‘.

Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Coral Ruddock, supported by our Churchwarden Ron Ruddock. Please contact 07752727667 if you wish to report a safeguarding concern within the parish.

The Diocese of Coventry has a 24-Hour Safeguarding Reporting telephone number on 024 7652 1345.

All of our staff and volunteers who work with children or vulnerable adults undergo an extensive safer recruitment process including DBS checks, references, confidential declaration and face-to-face interview, regular training and line management.  You can read more about the Diocese of Coventry’s polices and approach to Safeguarding here.

If you are concerned that someone you know is at risk of, or is being abused, or presents an imminent risk or danger to others, please report the matter to the Local Authority Social Care Service (02476832222) or the Police (999) without delay.

This information is also available on the Safeguarding noticeboards in the Church & Hall.
